Astro Turf Blitz 2011

Girls' Football Astro Turf Blitz 2011
The Sixth Class girls and Ms. Dolan went to Ferbane for the Girls' Football Astro Turf Blitz on Thurs. 3rd March. We had to play against High Street and Clonmacnois. We beat both teams and went straight into the Final. Our opponents in the Final were Clonmacnois. It was a tough game but in the end we won. We were presented with the Offaly Astro Turf Trophy for 2011. We were all singing on the bus journey home.

Boys' Football Astro Turf Blitz 2011
On Fri. 4th March 2011, ten sixth class boys and Mr. Wrafter left the school at 9.30 a.m. to participate in the Astro Turf Blitz in Ferbane. Mr. Wrafter announced the team in the dressing room. The rules were explained to us and we took shots on goal to warm up. Our first match was against Birr, our second match was against Kilcormac, our third match was against Lashina while our final match was against Ballyboy. We had a good day but unfortunately we did not get into the semi-final, but there's always another time.
