Camogie

Our School Camogie Team started training in March. There was a large group of girls from 4th to 6th class involved. First of all we entered the 7 aside indoor competition. We reached second place. We continued to train on Wednesdays 2.30 - 3.30 p.m. We played our first match against Kinnitty in Kinnitty which we won convincingly. Our next match was against Birr. We were very happy to win too, as this meant we were now in the final. The final was played in Rath against Ballyboy. It was a close and exciting game, which we unfortunately lost by 4 points. We are very proud of our team who trained so hard, and played in a skilful and sporting manner throughout the competition. We achieved a lot in what was our first year competing.
