Green Schools Committee: Competiton Winners
After much adjudication the following were selected as winners of our green schools committee's competition for a rap, poem and a song which best described the reasons for our project.
Best Rap - Tara Carroll
Best Short Poem - Eilish O'Regan
Best Song - Pupils from 2nd Class
Other noteworthy entries included Daniel Tomica and David White, Luke Hein Walsh, Maeve Maloney, Conor O'Sullivan, Kelan Rigney, Aoife O'Regan, Ciara Feeney, David Rigney, Shane Feeney, Robyn O'Meara, Eve Martin, Laura Maloney, Natasha Daly, Ciara O'Connell and Amelia McCormack, Niall Daly, Eoghan Kelly, Aoife Mahon, Heather Moran and others. Well done to all who entered.
On Tuesday 13th Dec. the winners were presented with prizes sponsored by Offaly County Council. Also as recognition for the whole schools involvement in the project, a tin of sweets was presented to each classroom by Patrick Regan and Patrick McKeon representatives of Banagher Tidy Towns Committee.
