A Dreamy Night - By Laura ( 6th class)
When dusk is done
And the grey has gone
And the sky turns slowly from blue to black
Then the bats come out,
And the owls awake
While most creatures settle down for the night
They close their eyes and begin to dream:
The little girl all snug in her bed she dreams of her favourite dolly,
While deep in the sea is the dolphin, dreaming of a sunset swim
The old man dreams of his when his wife was alive for he wishes she could be there to share with him his life.
Other things dream also of what they like:
Trees of leaves,
Dogs of a loving owner
Mice dream of cheese and the princess dreams of her Prince charming,
As you can see there are lots of dreams
But it all stops when the owls go home and everyone awakes till night falls once more.
Dreams Of Days - By Mark (5th class)
When dusk is done,
And the grey has gone.
When the owl comes out to sing his song.
When the sky of blue has turned to black,
And we see a little glimmer from the moonlight's shaft.
When horses dream of green spread grass,
And the buachaill dreams of a cailin deas.
When all hearts dream for ones they love,
While the bluebird waits for a snow white dove.
Mothers dream of a lullaby,
That will help her children not to cry.
Obama dreams Of World Peace,
And the actor dreams of starring in Grease.
And when you wake Up you'll say what Happened then?
And then the next night It will happen all over again
Different Dreams - By Aaron (5th class)
When the dusk is done
And the grey has gone
And the sky calls out
What a lovely night
The moon is out
The stars twinkle in the sky
The moon is bright
Mice dream of cheese
And cats dream of mice
Cows dream of calves and grass
Farmers dream of crops to grow
The wind is calm
The sky is dark
The owls dream of dark skies
The wolves howl at the moon
This night is a lovely night
Sheep dream of lambs
Dogs dream of pups and food
Horses dreams of foals
And you dream all night long .
Delightful Dreams - By Sinead ( 5th class)
When dusk is done
And the grey has gone
And parents have finished a lullaby song
When children are all tucked in bed
While dreams are going round their head:
Ponies dream of having wings
Jesters dream of queens and kings
Birds dream of sky and sea
Juniors dream of 1,2,3.
Fairies dream of different lands
Teens dream of big rock bands.
The moon dreams of having light
Day dreams of being night
Snowmen dream of it staying ice cold
Children dream of being old
Dreams and dreams go round our head
While most of us are tucked in bed !!
Dreams - By Nicola (6th class)
When dusk is done,
And the grey has gone.
When the people stop moving,
And the clubs get grooving.
When animals sleep, And foxes peep, from under a tree.
Then the dreams of night come to life:
Children of sweets and lollies and treats,
Crocodiles dream of something juicy to eat!
Dogs dream of caring homes,
While gardens dream of colourful gnomes.
Lambs dream of frolicking in the sun,
Chefs of baking enormous buns
Nothing is quite as it seems
When people are lost in their dreams.
Imagining - By Saoirse ( 5th Class)
When dusk is done
And the grey has gone
And the clouds move on,
And on and on
Then the moon turns white
And fills delight
To all the howling wolves below
The stars are seen
By the steam from the train
That rode earlier today beside the drain
Everybody's in bed with sleepy heads
And are going to dream dreams
Clocks dream of quarter to three
Because its time for home for me
Farmers dream of the start of the day
Where they are going to buy golden hay
Dentists dream of shiny teeth
While children dream of chocolate sweets
Cats are dreaming of marvellous milk
And bats are dreaming of flying through silk
Rats are dreaming slimy food
And thinking he's a real cool dude
Male horses are dreaming of mares
While girls are dreaming of their hair being layered
Bakers are dreaming of crispy rolls
And moles are dreaming of digging holes
Pilots are dreaming of flying up high
While pirates are dream of plundering ships going by
You are there with your eyes shut tight
And the day will always come after the night
And the day will always come after the night
