GAA Day - 125th Anniversary

On Friday the 24th April St. Rynagh's Primary School had a G.A.A. Day to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the G.A.A. Everyody wore their favourite G.A.A. jersey into school. In the morning former and present G.A.A. players came to the school. Some of the visitors were Tony Reddin, Ger Rafferty, Michael Duignan, Pádraig Horan, Martin Hanamy, Siobhán Flannery, Hubert Rigney and Linda Sullivan.
After our break the senior classes had a G.A.A. quiz and afterwards we all got a drink and an ice-cream. During the quiz the junior classes went outside and practiced hurling and football skills with G.A.A. coaches.
Fifth and sixth classes played hurling in the hall with hurling coaches David Hughes, Hughie Hannon and Ger Woods. It was a huge success and we all enjoyed the day.
