Sports Day 2011

For sports day,every class {juniors to sixth} dressed in colour code.for example,they mixed 4th,5th and 6th up in to different groups of colours.the colours were blue,red,black,white,yellow and green.In the morning we started sports day at around 10:30.Every colour started on a different sport.The sports were, rugby conversions,sliotar target,soccar blast out,basketball shots,jigsaw relay and a dance that Ciara O Sullivan kindly taught us! All week Ciara was inside,in the hall,teaching the school a dance to a Jedward song called "ice,ice baby".Each class organised a time to go.On the sports day each group went with miss.Ryan and got scored out of 50 for the dance.Each team got to play every game.The teachers were organising the games,each teacher owned a game which they were in charge-of. From 12:00-12:45 the principal {mr.mcMahon} gave us ice-cream.In the afternoon we were supposed to have our class races but sadly it was raining,so we continued our sports on Monday and the activities for our class teams were the egg and spoon,sack race,and the shoe relay {which the teachers made-up} The whole day was very good.Unfortunately it was still wet on Friday to have our "Champions league" and our "Olympic handball" finals. We played them on Monday also."Real madrid" and "Copenhagen" were the finalists in the "Champions league". It was a brilliant match but "Real Madrid" won it in the end.In the "Olmpic Handball" final it was "Eagles" against "Jaguars" and the "Eagles" won against them.It was a good sports day and everyone enjoyed it.
