The Treasure Map
One day last year, my friend Paul and I were up in the attic.
We were looking for something to do. We found a map when we were looking through some old boxes. It was called 'Captain Tom's Treasure Map'.
We could tell it was a very old map because it was crumpled and stained a light brown colour.
When we came down the stairs I hid the map under my bed.
That night we were kidnapped by pirates. They came in through the front door. We tried to get away but they knocked us out with knock out gas.
When we came to, Paul had the map in his pocket. We were by ourselves on an island.
We looked at the map and saw that we were in Vampire Village. We had to face lots of vampires and we came close to death a number of times. We managed to defeat them by putting a wooden stake through the heart of their leader. Then we ran for our lives.
We stopped when we ran out of breath and took a look around. We had reached a large red lake.
We looked at the map again. We were at Blood Lagoon. In order to get across, we had to swim through it. We were nervous but did it anyway.
There were lots of sharks and alligators swimming with us, but thankfully they mustn't have been hungry.
When we got to the other side of the lagoon, we were at the bottom of Devil Mountain.
We started climbing the mountain because the map told us that X marked the spot where we would find the treasure.
We were half way up the mountain when Paul broke his leg, after getting it stuck in between some fallen rocks. He was trying to free his leg when he fell off the mountain and died.
I kept on climbing towards the top of the mountain. Just when I thought I was home free, I saw lots of goblins charging towards me. They must have been there to protect the treasure.
I found a gun at the bottom of my bag and I had to shoot them all.
I just had enough time to catch my breath when I saw that the pirates had followed me up the mountain. I shot at them with my remaining bullets. They ran away, fearing for their lives.
Then I lifted the treasure chest. Under the chest there was a portal. I grabbed the chest and jumped into the portal. It had been a lucky escape.
